About ESF The English Schools Foundation (ESF) is the largest English-medium international school organisation in Hong Kong. Our 22 schools and comprehensive programme of extra-curricular activities bring out the best in every student through a personalised approach to learning and by inspiring curious minds. There are over 18,000 students from 75 different nationalities in ESF kindergartens, primary, secondary and all-through schools. Bradbury School ESF Bradbury School offers a safe, caring and fun environment in which all students thrive and are the best that they can be. The calibre of our staff and the positive, encouraging approach in our classrooms, provides children with an all-round education of the very highest quality, achieving outstanding results. With emphasis on student agency, we encourage our children to become independent thinkers who care about the world around them – through an active sustainability approach – and develop the skills required to become lifelong learners and leaders. We place a high importance on partnership with parents and see this as a cornerstone of how we operate on a daily basis. Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is active and hardworking, contributing much to the life of our school. We are governed by a knowledgeable and highly supportive School Council. Bradbury School is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. We use the Primary Years Programme (PYP) as the basis of our instruction and to underpin our beliefs as expressed in our school vision – Inspiring minds . Nurturing hearts . Enriching tomorrow. At the same time, we place a high value on our students becoming emotionally literate in a 21st century learning environment, embracing an extended concept of the areas that new technologies offer us. Chinese is taught to all students, with levels of instruction adjusted according to ability and fluency. Our school has excellent resources, offering a number of specialist subjects in dedicated spaces. We have a state of the art library, which is seen as the hub of inquiry throughout the school. In addition, we have a full gymnasium, school hall, music room, including soundproof studios, netball courts, a variety of large adventure playgrounds installed across various levels, undercover play areas, a large free form sandpit and art studio. Bradbury School has an extensive sports programme and offers amongst others: rugby, netball, cricket, soccer, swimming, basketball and running, as well as other activities such as judo and kickboxing. The school makes provision for 21 children with moderate learning difficulties through a Learning Support Programme and we believe in a full inclusion approach for all of our students.

It is possible for online applications to be submitted for admissions to ESF while families are overseas and before relocation to Hong Kong. The ESF introduced the Nomination Rights scheme in November 2012 to facilitate any family wishing to ‘fast track’ on a school’s wait list. Corporate Nominees gain first priority for admissions. Individual Nomination Rights Nominees will gain a priority behind siblings. All applicants are required to satisfy our entry requirements for admissions. Please refer to the ESF website for details: http://www.esf.edu.hk/esf-nomination-rights. |
