New students to the English Secondary Department (ESD) have to sit an admissions test for literacy and numeracy. At this stage, there is only one support teacher for the entire ESD who works with teachers to develop in-class strategies and accommodations for students with low-level learning disabilities. The learning support teacher works collaboratively with the school counsellor to develop well-being programmes that support all students. |
